Position Summary:
The Senior Project Manager—lasers will be responsible for developing solutions, creating plans, and overseeing the implementation of special effects, including lasers, into tours and one-off events from start to finish. They will lead the project team to deliver exceptional client experiences, advising and coordinating with clients and internal personnel on laser show design and other creative aspects of the company’s projects. Additionally, they will manage and nurture client relationships, lead new business development initiatives, and assist in training the internal team on laser show design.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Drive Strategic Growth: Proactively research and analyze industry trends to identify new opportunities for expanding our laser technology solutions with both new and existing clients.
Accelerate Business Expansion: Develop and implement a dynamic relationship-building strategy that fosters strong client partnerships and drives accelerated growth in the Company’s laser business.
Lead Innovative Project Development: Spearhead the creation and execution of cutting-edge show and project designs, ensuring seamless integration of lasers and special effects. Collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to define all project aspects, including:
Setting ambitious yet achievable project goals.
Crafting detailed, step-by-step project plans covering logistics, production, equipment, workflow, and more.
Establishing key dates, milestones, and a clear project completion timeline.
Assembling and guiding a top-performing project team.
Ensure Excellence in Execution: Oversee the project team to define precise budgets and resource allocations, ensuring successful project completion. Maintain comprehensive documentation, regularly update plans, and keep all stakeholders informed, ensuring flawless delivery every time.
Lead Project Excellence: Oversee the successful management of projects by setting clear, measurable key performance indicators (KPIs) that drive performance and accountability.
Collect and analyze project data, including progress and outcomes, to assess the current status and forecast future performance.
Lead the project team to consistently deliver projects on time, within budget, and in line with business and technical requirements, all while exceeding customer expectations.
Define KPIs and implement a robust process to track and measure project performance against established targets.
Ensure regular and effective communication with all project team members through status meetings, conference calls, and other channels to keep everyone aligned and informed.
Collaborate with the project team to proactively identify potential health and safety risks, evaluating and implementing multiple strategies to minimize them and ensure a safe working environment.
Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Engage with designers, engineers, and marketing professionals to deeply understand product features and target audiences, while rigorously testing new special effects to ensure optimal performance before full implementation.
Champion Quality and Customization: Maintain an unwavering focus on delivering high-quality, tailored solutions that drive exceptional client satisfaction and set the standard for excellence.
Drive Organizational Success: Work seamlessly across departments to foster collaboration, aligning efforts to achieve both team and company-wide goals and contribute to the organization's overall success.
Required Qualifications:
A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in laser display and /or installation experience, including system/show design. Complementary Experience in staging, lighting, sound, event production, and show control technology is a plus.
Strong organizational abilities coupled with advanced written and verbal communication skills to support technical expertise.
Proficient in using Pangolin Laser Show Control software, with a solid understanding of show control technologies such as Pangolin, Beyond, MIDI, SYMPTE, and DMX.
Competent in using timeline-based computer programs and possessing a comprehensive understanding of live event technology, including the logistics and technical aspects of setup, execution, and teardown.
Ability to work effectively under pressure, demonstrating self-motivation and contributing to a positive work environment.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and delegate tasks as needed.
Possession of a valid passport with the ability to travel frequently.
A strong understanding of music, either practical or theoretical, is preferred.
