Position Summary:

The President, Anthem Sports Group will be a visionary leader with deep experience in live events and a track record of success in elevating brands and driving revenue growth. This individual will be responsible for the overall strategic direction and management of the company, ensuring Anthem Sports group becomes a major player in the wrestling, MMA and live events industry. The President will work closely with ownership, key stakeholders, including talent, media partners, sponsors, and fans, to enhance the brand’s presence and profitability.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility to deliver the targeted financial results and oversee all aspects of the business operations.

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic and fiscally sound plan to elevate the Anthem Sports Group brands and expand their market share.

  • Nurture the continuing development and refinement of the company’s vision, strategy, business models and business plans, key initiatives, and ensure their successful implementation.

  • Manage and develop key high level relations and partnerships to drive growth and expansion.

  • Manage internal and external stakeholders.

  • Manage, motivate and lead a high performing team of senior executives and leadership group and instill a sense of pride, passion, dedication, loyalty and cohesiveness within team members ensuring a close, collegial and fun working environment.

  • Lead management of the resolution of critical business issues.

  • Drive revenue growth through; expanded global licensing and distribution revenues, increasing SVOD subscribers and revenue, live event attendance, digital content monetization, merchandising, talent exposure.

  • Oversee all aspects of business operations, including finance, marketing, production, and human resources.

  • Design an optimal profitable production model to maximize quality and audience engagement.

  • Deliver exceptional live events to significantly increase the size of audience and event revenue.

  • Cultivate strong relationships with talent, ensuring talent development and retention.

  • Enhance fan engagement through compelling storytelling, high-quality programming, and interactive and digital experiences.

  • Explore and capitalize on new business opportunities, including international expansion and partnerships and manage external facing public relations.

  • Review operating results of the organization; compare results to established objectives and take steps to ensure that appropriate measures are taken to correct unsatisfactory results.

  • Establish and maintain a highly effective system of communications.

  • Promote a diverse and highly inclusive workplace for management staff and event staff as well as partners, vendors and customers.

Experience:

  • Ability to build long term plans and implement processes and procedures to achieve them.

  • Proven track record in live events, content creation and experiential marketing.

  • Recent executive experience operating within experiential/live entertainment.

  • Proven track record creating compelling, special and lasting consumer experiences.

  • Strong background in negotiating licensing and distribution arrangements.

  • Strong background in monetizing social media.

  • Familiarity with divergent economic models of platform partners in order to optimize results.

  • High level relationships in the media industry to allow “top to top” meetings to occur.

  • Sufficient understanding of technology to manage executives in this area.

  • Ability to balance the creative process with financial targets and profitability.

  • Marketing, direct marketing, digital/social marketing management experience.

  • Direct marketing/database/CRM and email marketing experience.

  • Salesforce creation, implementation, management and review.

  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships, including marketing and media partnerships.

  • Established relationships with convention centers and other entertainment venues.

  • Ability to build strong relationships with outside vendors; possess strong negotiation skills.

Background Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent degree in a field of general business or other applicable field of study and/or more than 15 years’ experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience within live experiential entertainment, including music, performing arts, commercial entertainment, sports, media, event creation, event marketing, etc.

  • A law degree (J.D.), Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) or other advanced degree a plus.
